1. Information we collect
To run the counting game and its features, the bot stores:
- Server data — server (guild) ID, the configured counting channel ID, current count, and admin-configured settings (e.g. moderator role, enabled features).
- Member data — Discord user IDs of members who participate in counting, along with their count totals, streak stats, and count-ban status where applicable.
- Message content — only the numeric content of messages sent in a configured counting channel, read in order to validate the count. We don't log or store message content outside of counting channels.
- Command usage — which commands are run, by whom, and when, for moderation audit logs (visible to server staff via /logs) and for diagnosing bot issues.
We don't collect your email address, IP address, payment information, or anything outside of what Discord's API exposes to bots.
2. How we use this information
- To operate core features: counting validation, streaks, leaderboards, and moderation tools.
- To let server admins configure and audit how the bot behaves in their server.
- To diagnose bugs and keep the bot reliable (e.g. error logs that may reference a server or user ID).
- To report aggregate, non-identifying stats (like total server count) to bot listing sites such as top.gg.
3. Data sharing
We don't sell your data. Data is shared only with:
- Discord, as required for the bot to function (all bots operate through Discord's API).
- Our hosting and database providers, who store data on our behalf under standard provider agreements.
- Bot listing sites (e.g. top.gg), which receive only an aggregate server count, never per-server or per-user data.
4. Data retention
We retain server and member data for as long as the bot remains in that server, so counts, streaks, and settings persist across restarts. If the bot is removed from a server, its data is retained for a limited period in case the server re-adds the bot, then scheduled for deletion.
5. Your rights and data deletion
You can request deletion of your member-level data (counts, streaks, leaderboard stats) or a server's data at any time by opening a request in the support server. Server admins can also remove the bot to stop further data collection immediately.
6. Children's privacy
The bot is not directed at children under the age required by Discord's own Terms of Service. We rely on Discord's age-eligibility enforcement and don't knowingly collect data from users who don't meet it.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect stored data, but no system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we'll take steps to address it and notify affected server admins where appropriate.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
